The Solomon Islands is an island nation comprising of 6 major and more than 900 smaller islands in the Pacific Ocean in Oceania. The country hosts a population of around 647,581 individuals. According to the CIA World Factbook, Christianity is the dominant religion in the Solomon Islands.

Solomon Islands should not be confused with the Solomon Islands archipelago, which is a collection of Melanesian islands that includes Solomon Islands and Bougainville Island (part of Papua New Guinea), but excludes the nation’s outlying islands, such as the Santa Cruz group. The islands have been inhabited for thousands of years.
